_My main gift is to help people go gently deep into themselves and rest in the peace of their natural true love self.

Since the age of 13 I have studied various martial, medical and spiritual paths. I have found beauty, empowerment and enjoyment in them all.  I eventually found myself in love with the body centered dance mysticism of Qigong. I love the process of self discovery, and the growing vitality and peace I have achieved from Qigong. I have now spent the past 6 years studying medical/spiritual Qigong with wonderful teachers and friends in Chapel Hill, Asheville, New York and China.
My main focus is on letting go, being natural, facing my fears and helping others do the same. In this process I have found that nothing is more enjoyable than our true selves.  As a teacher of self care I enjoy using Taoist language to describe and clear up often confusing and esoteric topics. As a student I love the simple, practical, and down to earth map the Taoist sages left to guide us to our natural way of being. The core of these timeless teachings and of the practices themselves is unconditional self love and enjoyment. Self love and enjoyment is the doorway to return to nature, and to live our natural way, and I am committed to supporting people’s natural way.

"Julian has a real gift of taking others deeply but gently through the healing/exploratory process.   I feel he will never be one to rest on any titles of authority and will continue to work on efficiently and clearly teaching Taoist arts and spiritual science to the next generation.  His emphasis on the principals, clear language, and openness towards exploration will effectively bridge east, west, old, and new.

I highly recommend Julian Davis to any person or institution looking to enrich their lives or add to the support services being offered. With his warm presence, he brings a practical, playful, and efficient approach to Qigong as well as other Taoist spiritual arts and sciences."
